What is Iaido?
Iaido (居合道), which usually translates into the art of adapting to circumstances or the way of being aware, is a sword drawing technique taught for responding to one’s environment.
The core purpose of Iaido is the ability to cultivate a supreme state of awareness and perfect the art of the Samurai Sword.
Iaido is categorized as a non-fighting form of martial arts due to how it is practiced, solo or by imagining one or more opponents.
Though it is one of 6 martial arts we teach, it is only after mastering the basics of the major practices that you will be allowed to learn Iaido.
